I am Catherine, a wife and mother of two teenage children. I am British and as a family we have now been living in the Netherlands for the last five years and thoroughly enjoying it. We are a very neurodiverse family; I myself sit on the autistic spectrum. As a result, I have learnt how to ask for support, understand what support is needed and establish how to give that support. I now coach my children, enabling them to ask for and secure what they need to help them live their very best lives.
My journey to coaching
My professional life has been a very interesting and winding one. I was a chef for 16 years and travelled the world. I returned to education later in my mid twenties and secured an MSc in Environmental Management and Sustainable working as an Environmental project manager in the UK. Then came our relocation to the Netherlands and the realisation of just how neurodiverse our family is. As I looked to support my children through their journey, I also went on a journey of self-discovery. Through that self-discovery you can pretty much guarantee I have been through and lived some of the issues you will bring to me as a coach and self advocate.
That very long and winding road has brought me to where I am today. I have learnt how to;
- be a problem solver, understand the many ways in which a solution can be sought
- be resilient and support others to be so
- understand different cultures and how that culture defines a person being
be comfortable giving everyone their space to grow
As your coach, I believe that you have the answers that will work for you. Together we will work to better understand your options, remove any barriers and develop and implement your solutions. Discovering and implementing this newly found knowledge will allow you to live and achieve exactly what you want. Together we will smash that box down and discover a world of possibilities.
